The treatment with resorbable PDO (Polidioxanone) support wires is particularly effective in treating skin aging.
The outpatient technique reshapes the tissues, creating an anti-aging function, obtaining skin compaction and rejuvenating the skin of the face, neck and décolleté.
The absorbable suspension wires, made of PDO (Polydioxanone), a completely resorbable and 100% compatible material, are antimicrobial and are contained within thin hypodermic needles that allow them to be inserted under the skin and positioned so as to create a grid of support in areas to be revitalized.
The treatment allows two effects to be created simultaneously:
- Stimulate the production of new collagen
- Create a support grid
The soft-lifting effect leaves the facial expressions and features unaltered, giving an elastic, luminous and compact skin.
The number of wires to be inserted and their length depends on the area to be treated and the level of skin failure.
The treatment, which is performed on an outpatient basis without the need for anesthesia, takes from 20 to 40 minutes, does not involve scars or allergic reactions and the results are visible as early as the first session.
The support wires are reabsorbed after about six months from their insertion and normally the treatment effect lasts up to 12/24 months.
In some cases at the end of the treatment the skin may appear slightly red and edematous to be completely reabsorbed in 2-3 days.
